St. Petersburg Preservation cordially invites the public to the Craftsman House Centennial Celebration. The original model home for the Historic Kenwood neighborhood was built in 1918 - Craftsman House is celebrating 100 years! The house was placed on the local historic registry in 1994. In 2003 the building was purchased, fully renovated, and transformed into the current gallery, cafe, & pottery studio.
The celebration includes live music by the Fil Pate Duo: Mandobro, birthday cake, food, drinks, and a few words from some prominent St. Petersburg celebrities.

Face Jug Show

Face Jugs are any one of many pottery forms having applied features that resemble the human likeness. They originated back in the early 1800's. Clay was cheap and the south relied on potters for a variety of wares. Many traditional potters in the South Eastern U. S. are known for creating face pots, which have now become a collectible art form. Show runs through November.

Pot Roast won the Niche Award for the "Best Charitable Event in the US". Our biggest event of the year! Potters donate work which we load into the large kiln. Once the kiln is fired, we unload the work and raffle off dozens of pots. Proceeds are donated to charity.
